Quick-and-Dirty Guide
75th Floor
-Fight with Heathcliff. A tutorial fight. Very difficult for you to die.
Task 1
Press L to open the Sword Skill Palette and use one
Task 2
Press Square to use War Cry Battle Skill
Task 3
Press Triangle to parry. Watch his attack a few times and press parrying right before he swings.
After which do whatever you want for a while, then the fight will end automatically.
76th Floor
After the initial battle with Heathcliff and the group proceeding up to the 76th floor, the group talk about how all their items became squiggly lines but their level and money stays. Yui appears after Kirito presses on one of those items which was glowing.
=Teleport Gate
-Go to the teleport gate and action it
-Go to the left arcway and enter the shopping street.
=Shopping Street
-Find the ! NPC and purchase weapons
-Follow the path and find another ! NPC and purchase a potion and sp potion
-Go back to where you entered from, enter the other arcway to enter central square.
=Central Square
-Enter the first door to your left to Agil's shop
=Agil's Shop
-Talk to Asuna
-Go back to the Teleportation gate
=Central Square
Meet Liz, who can't teleport back to her shop due to the current system error. She then runs off to set up her shop at this floor

-Go to the teleport gate and action it
-Go to the left arcway and enter the shopping street.

-Find the ! NPC and purchase weapons
-Follow the path and find another ! NPC and purchase a potion and sp potion
-Go back to where you entered from, enter the other arcway to enter central square.

-Enter the first door to your left to Agil's shop

After accepting a quest and finishing it, including the "Kill X monster", you will have to return to NPC Kirby to turn the quest in to receive the EXP and Col Reward.

You can skip the tutorial if you want, but I suggest you do. You even get a Hi SP Potion for it. To participate in the mock tutorial battle select 1st (tut) , -> 1st (mock battle), 1st (accept)
Mock battle 1
1) Press O to select the enemy to enter enemy cursor mode
2) press O again to start the battle
3) Pressing R will call up your Call Skill Palette. Open the Call Skill Palette and select the first option スイッチ3/3 (Switch 3/3)
Now kill the hornet however you want

1) Press O to target a Hornet
2) Press triangle to use Throwing Skill. It's generally used for pulling enemies out
3) Kill 5 hornets in anyway you want.
Press L to open up your Sword Skill list, and select one to use it. Sword Skills have a cast time, and you can be interrupted while casting.

==General battle guide==
The main attacks are set into two palettles - Sword Skill Palette and Battle Skill Palette.

The default for each of the circle, triangle, and square are
Circle: basic attack. You can forcefully use O against before the bar fills up, but the damage will be reduced by how much the bar is empty.
Triangle: Parry. As seen in the first fight
Square: Dodge. The default dodge given it Hiding Slide.

==Regarding Gathering
Gathering is done in the fields. When Kirito approaches a possible gathering point, it will start to glow. One can harvest a limited amount of times from the same spot. The gathering spot will recover after one day in-game
NOTE!: You don't have to rush to finish the quests now, due to an event that will happen later that will teleport you back to the city.

=悠遠たる風の街道（Highway of Remote Wind)
-Right outside there is a group of other 'players' fighting the Death Hornet, you can ignore them for now.
-Proceed down the path to the next area
=蜘蛛糸の漂う風陵 (Mausoleum of the Floating Spider Silk)
Here is where you can find the Frenzy Boars and Mad Tarantula for quests later. For now head to the left path towards the cave. A cutscene will start with another play talking about the strong Lizardmen inside the cave. Head into the cave. If you're intend on clearing the 12 x Hornet Sting quest, you can enter the right gate into 毒織りの森 (Poisonweave Forest) for lots of hornets
=貪欲なる坑窟 1 (Cave of Avarice 1)
-Cutscene on the blocked path
-Proceed through the cave, killing everything and picking up treasure
-Continue into the second floor
=貪欲なる坑窟 2 (Cave of Avarice 2)
-Clear the floor of enemies and treasure, defeat the group of 5 Lizardmen
-Head back to 1st floor
=貪欲なる坑窟 1 (Cave of Avarice 1)
-The blocked path is now clear, continue on
=敗者達の峡谷 (Gorge of the Fallen)
-Event happens the moment you enter. Save the other players by killing the biggest spider
-Gathering point at where the other players were at the corner, go grab them Medical Herbs
-There is another gathering point on the way up, grab all the Medicinal herbs you need for the quest.
-Continue up the winding path to the next area
=捕食者の巡礼路 (Pilgrimage of Predators)
-There's a giant spider in red aura here, which is also a target for Boss Info. Dispatch easily enough by making use of Sword Skills on it's back. If Kirito is tanking the spider and you can't get Asuna to get to its back, use the Switch command and move Kirito towards the back.
-Enter the white entrance
=戦域の回廊(Battlefield Corridor)
-Lots of small blue slime here which can be killed by using the initial dash slash. Dispatch them and move through this area quickly
-Go North at the first intersection for the treasure chest, but don't go into the next area. Double back and take the other long path leading up, killing lots of blue slimes.
-At the last platform you'll find a Blue Impact. Continue
=死者の大釜１階 / 死者の大釜2階 ( Catacombs 1 & 2)
-Explore the area, collect treasure
-There are two flight of stairs leading to the 2nd floor.
-2nd floor has two sides, each with it's own treasures
=死者の大釜3階 (Catacombs 3)
-Special mission "Defeat the Lizard Monarch!" Time limit 15min. You can ignore this if you want. The reward is Shining Boots +1 (imo do it and sell the boots)
-Head towards stairs at the southern side to the 4th floor
=死者の大釜4階 (Catacombs 4)
-go down the hallway and reach the Boss Room. Choose the first option to return to the City, 2nd option to stay around.
=Arc Sophia
-Back at the City, finish up your quests as you need. After finishing the Hornet Sting quest, return to NPC Kirby to get another quest to kill Mad Tarantulas. You can find them at 蜘蛛糸の漂う風陵 (Mausoleum of the Floating Spider Silk) or 捕食者の巡礼路 (Pilgrimage of Predators)

-Head back to 1st floor

HP: 3 Bars, rage attack at 1bar
-Uses tentacles for multi-hit attacks
-Uses it's gaze attack to seal movement

-Tentacles can be broken
-Break the eye to prevent it from using it's gaze attack
Last Attack bonus item: Rage Ring. Dex +10, Def - 25, Accuracy + 3%.
Main attacks
-Uses tentacles to attack in a cone in front of it
-Normal pokes to its target
-Gaze attack to a narrow cone area in front
Rage attack
-360 degree knockback attack.Drop the targetting by pressing X and move backwards to avoid this easily.
This boss is easy enough given that the other players can tank it with no problems. Feel free to use aggro reducing moves and move to it's back for back-attack bonus.
==Regarding Bosses
For each boss, their HP is counted by how many bars it has. Also, at the Guild tab of your main menu, some information on the boss will be available, depending on whether you complete the requirements. Information available on the boss's will it's attack patterns, it's weakness, breakable parts etc. Note that parts broken will prevent some of the boss' attacks, but it will regenerate. Bosses will usually 'rage' when their HP drops to a certain amount, which also allows them to use a rage attack.

==Weapon Upgrading
Now that Liz has opened her shop, you can upgrade your weapons. Things to take note of:
-A weapon can be only upgrade a limited number of times
-You need to choose which stat to upgrade (attack, accuracy, critical etc)
-Basic materials needed to upgrade are Ores, Fragments and Crystals
-Chance to successfully upgrade IS NOT 100% (like in the novel/anime)
-You can use other drops from monsters to increase the successful chance
-Most of the ores you get are those of the lowest grade. You can fuse three of a kind to get another ore of a higher grade.
=Teleport Gate
-Klein will speak to you about a rumor of an Elf appearing at the forest nearby
-Head to 蜘蛛糸の漂う風陵 (Mausoleum of the Floating Spider Silk), and take the right intersection where there is a giant spider and a gate-like structure and enter 毒織りの森 (Poisonweave Forest)
